Thinking of you, always in our thoughts and tucked away safely in our hearts 🖤

In Memory of my Big Brother:
Having a big brother gives you a special confidence when your growing up
life when your young is an endless series of tomorrows with your family, it was good
and Its a great thing having a big Brother:
There always more than one, so your never alone, especially in a scrap
There always someone to have a scrap with if your bored
There someone ahead of you showing you the way in life, even if they don't realise it
There is an endless supply of toys to pinch ( that went both ways, mainly one way actually!)
We grew up in the 70s/80's there was a new fad every year, Jon would get right into it and being focuseed and creative he could turn his hand to all of them, and I would follow his lead, less well.
We enjoyed sharing the burden of annoying Mum & Dad (never tired of that one!)
We enjoyed inventing games (the strangely violent 'funky Pidgeon' game will say with me forever)
As a grown up you get lost in the day-to-day and you put things off because, like when your young, you think will always be a tomorrow - Ill do it tomorrow - tomorrow
I cant really believe there are no more tomorrows to share now but I take some comfort in recalling all the Yesterdays that we shared growing up together and all those memories will be with me forever and I am grateful for them.
Big Jon, Big character, Big hearted, Big trouble!, but always my Big Brother.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
